Solitaire Consulting has launched a new service to provide non-executive management services to new and existing clients in Jersey and overseas.
A non-executive manager (NEM) provides operational advice and guidance on an ongoing, but part time or ad-hoc basis. Unlike the non-executive director (NED), who works at board level and forms part of a firm’s corporate governance arrangements, a NEM works alongside the senior management team providing additional skills and experience to supplement the internal management.
Paul Every, Managing Director of Solitaire Consulting, stated, “Interim managers and contractors usually provide services full time on a project by project basis. However, there is a real need to provide expert services over a longer period, but part time as and when needed by the client.
“Many organisations will have relationships with specialist advisers for tax, finance and legal matters and often engage consultants to help with specific projects. However, for many requirements a formal project is not needed and it would be useful to just be able to pick up the phone or drop an email to someone who knows you and your business and can provide reassurance or advice from a different perspective. I know from my time as a senior manager that I could have benefited from having someone on hand to call when I was stuck with a particular operational issue.”
Solitaire Consulting has been providing change management and business improvement services, mainly to the offshore financial services and legal sectors for nearly ten years. Paul goes on to say, “The NEM service is a natural extension of our traditional consultancy services and provides a cost effective way for clients to get the expertise they need without needing to employ additional staff.”
Solitaire Consulting has clients in Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Mauritius and South Africa and works with a network of associate consultants. Further information on this and other services can be found by contacting Paul Every on +44 7797 724191, or by email to email@example.com.
